REACH-Regulation
REACH means:
Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals.
On 28th October, 2008 the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) issued the first official candidate list for annex XIV of the REACH -Regulation (EG 1907/2006).
Contents of the list are all dangerous substances which require a permit. This permit defines whether these substances may be used in future.
All of the chemical substances are checked with regards to their risks and hazard-free use in accordance to the European legislation. Every compound of the goods and every substance for preparation and processing must be pre-registered.
Substances of the suppliers delivering raw material to our producers "Alkor Draka" and "RENOLIT AG", are already pre-registered.
Goods we deliver contain more than 0.1% of the plasticizer DEHP (di-ethyl-hexyl phtalaat). This DEHP with Cas no. 117-81-7 is already registered in the application list and will in all probability obtain permission.
The European Union has confirmed that DEHP is generally risk-less. Therefore no additional measures for the handling of our products are necessary. Nevertheless EU regulation 2005/84EG (22nd amendment of EU regulation 76/769/EG) does not allow the usage of the products for toys and baby articles.
You will find more information about DEHP on the web side www.dehp-facts.com.
